🛒 Ingredients
For the Beef Marinade:
500g beef (thinly sliced into strips, preferably undercut or steak cut)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
For Stir-Fry:
3 tbsp oil (preferably sesame oil or regular cooking oil)
6–8 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
10–12 fresh green chilies (slit lengthwise, adjust to taste)
1 medium onion (sliced into thick strips)
1 capsicum (sliced into strips)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp oyster sauce (optional for extra flavor)
Salt to taste
Spring onion greens for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Marinate the Beef
Mix beef strips with soy sauce, cornflour, black pepper, and ginger-garlic paste. Set aside for 30 minutes to tenderize.
2. Cook the Beef
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok on high flame. Stir-fry beef strips until browned and 80% cooked. Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the Stir-Fry Base
In the same wok, add 1 tbsp oil. Toss in garlic and green chilies. Sauté until aromatic.
4. Add Veggies & Sauces
Add onion and capsicum. Stir-fry for 1–2 minutes (they should stay crunchy). Then add soy sauce, vinegar, oyster sauce, and cooked beef.
5. Dry Out & Serve
Cook on high flame until the sauce reduces and coats the beef, giving it a dry, glossy finish.
6. Garnish
Sprinkle spring onion greens and serve hot.
